When she was allowed to start going to Stake Dances 10 months early, Aubree was ecstatic. Her enthusiasm for dances only grew as the year progressed. With the exception of our two month road-trip, she attended every possible dance and helped organize pre-dance parties for most of the dances.
The pre-dance parties have been a great way to bring youth together right before the dance and then carpool together to the dance so they're walking in with a group of friends. Admittedly, arranging carpools has been our least favorite part of the pre-dance party effort, but it's been worth it.
The pre-dance party activities have varied. Sometimes they've played board games.
Before a luau themed dance they made candy leis.
This was one of Aubree's favorite pre-dance party activities. She's looking forward to doing it again next time there's a Hawaiian themed dance.
They've done karaoke and related games. That's always good for a laugh!
A lot of times they've played large group games. In the photo below, they're playing Four On The Couch, which ended up being a lot of fun.
Aubree loves dances and loves bringing as many friends as possible with her.
And I suppose it doesn't hurt that the boys often outnumber the girls. ;)
