Halloween 2019

It's currently the end of March. The world is in the early stages of dealing with the novel COVID-19 virus. Here in Washington, we are in complete lockdown. Everything has been Corona'd (a.k.a. cancelled). So, sure, seems like a great time to blog about last Halloween.

While I was on a trip with Bryce, Mark took the three younger kids to the pumpkin patch with our FLEET co-op.
The weather cooperated beautifully, and they had a great time doing all their favorite fall activities with their friends.
We also had a Halloween party at FLEET. The kids were invited to wear their costumes and during the last hour, they rotated through fun Halloween stations. Graham enjoys every chance to hang with the BIG club (Ben, Izzy, Graham).
Our ward party was busy as ever, with dinner, carnival games, and a trunk-or-treat. We started the party off with a little extra excitement when the fog machine set off the fire alarm and the fire department showed up.
Nellie was excited she was dressed in a fancy dress like her friend Zoey.
Graham and Thane, our unicorn and narwhal, enjoyed being able to trunk or treat without adult supervision.
And they all REALLY enjoyed the post trunk or treating candy exchange.
Now that our kids are getting older, we found ourselves heading in a variety of different directions on Halloween afternoon/evening.
Aubree met up with friends to grab a cheap pizza at Mod Pizza. She's loving the extra independence that comes from being in high school.
Bryce went to a HuCo Halloween party where they had dinner, trick-or-treated together, then stayed late to play games like "Ghost in the Graveyard." He had a fabulous time!
Mark and I took Thane, Nellie, and Graham out trick-or-treating in the neighborhood, but I bailed early to help with a Halloween party for Aubree. Mark finished off the trick-or-treating duties.
Aubree organized a Halloween party with a bunch of her friends. I found a teen murder-mystery-type game on Teachers Pay Teachers.
Since the game was geared towards teens, there was a lot of drama between the characters. I was a little nervous about how the activity would go, but it ended up being a whole lot of fun. I think all the kids had a really good time.
