4th of July 2019

Our first re-entry activity after returning from our road trip was our ward 4th of July breakfast.
It was a relatively low-key affair, but we managed to have plenty of food, and the kids had a good time reconnecting with friends and riding their bikes around the church parking lot.
Finley came over in the middle of the day. We missed that girl! She's a fantastic friend.
In the evening we joined friends for a backyard bbq.
The weather was lovely, and we took full advantage! I somehow managed to convince to Mark to take the big kids to the park to watch fireworks while I stayed home, put Nellie to bed, and enjoyed a calm evening to myself (well, as calm as it can be with continuous explosions).
The following day the weather turned cooler, but we met up with friends and with Katie and her kids to play at Dash Point.
I asked these two to pose for a picture and while Nellie posed, Jordyn got mischievous. I love this picture!
We had a great time. It was nice to be home.
