Play Unplugged 2019

We had so much fun participating in the Play Unplugged program last summer that we decided to do it again this summer even though we didn't take advantage of the free swim passes as much as we'd hoped. Like last year, one of the best parts of doing Play Unplugged was doing it with friends. This year, we partnered with the Johnsons and the Dances.
Some of the activities were the same as last year and some were new. The kids were excited to be able to do the paper airplane throwing contest again. Graham's plane went the farthest of our group (and set a new record) because he had accidentally made his out of cardstock. I think next year they'll all make their planes out of cardstock!
One fun stop was at a still-being-built fitness center. The kids had to do a series of exercises and then got frog hats and gear.
Another stop had us searching the acreage around a local church looking for wire people. We didn't realize we could get a page of location hints, so we spent a lot of time wandering the property.
One business asked the kids to bring in a picture of them playing in the sprinklers. The Johnsons invited the kids over to get in their sprinkler playing on the trampoline. Nice!
In the end, we successfully finished the program and earned our free 3-month swim passes. Like last year, we've sadly only used the passes once so far. We still have a couple weeks left...
