Aubree and Bryce were invited to an epic paint balling birthday party at the end of Christmas break. In preparation for the party, I made an epic mistake; I had it in my head that the party started at 1pm, when it really began at 10:30 am. To make matters worse, we were just leaving Seattle (after picking up Mark's new-to-us car) at 11 when we got the "where are you?" call.
So, Aubree and Bryce arrived to the paint ball fields about 90 minutes after the rest of the party-goers. What was already an intimidating prospect became even more daunting when they were the only ones who didn't know what was going on.
Aubree found her friends, joined their team, and didn't look back. Somehow, she thought that the paint-balling would be indoor, so she wasn't dressed as warmly as the conditions warranted, but she didn't complain. She liked looking fierce and always loves any excuse to be with her exciting teacher, Ms. Tallie.
Bryce was much more nervous. Tallie took it upon herself to teach him the ropes.
The played for another two hours after I dropped them off. It was cold with a light rain, but they had a great time and both came home with some gnarly bruises.
Happy Birthday, Hank!
