Bryce's Baptism!

Bryce chose to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 30.
Choosing to be baptized is a big decision.  It signifies that he is starting on a covenant path of following Jesus Christ.
Our area holds baptisms at the Stake level.  There were five other children being baptized the same morning as Bryce.  Grandma and Grandpa Winters flew into town for the occasion, and Katie and her kids also came down for the event.
The chapel was filled with friends and family.  Bryce asked Katie to give the talk on Baptism.  She reminded him and the other children of the promises they make to God, and the promises God makes to them when they are baptized.  She used the imagery of a rainbow to illustrate the concept.
As is the norm for stake baptisms here, there were periods where the spirit was strong, alternating with long waits (four different wards cycling through the room with the baptismal font).
When it was Bryce's turn, he walked into the water with shining eyes.  He later admitted that he felt a little nervous.  When asked about the baptism itself, he responded, "the water was a little cold, but when I came up, I felt warm inside."
We are so proud of our kind, sensitive, and faithful boy!
Gigi was unable to make it up for the baptism, but sent Bryce a package of wonders - balloons, candy, tic tacs, and a treasure box with decorations so he could personalize it.
He was sorry she missed the baptism, but grateful to be remembered so thoughtfully!
