Spring is in full bloom! For our preschool field trip this month, we decided to go on a hike. We invited along extra friends, and ended up with a great group.
We "hiked" two hours, but only covered about 1 1/2 miles. I guess that's the beauty of exploring with preschoolers. They stopped for every bridge, threw rocks in every body of water, found dead snakes and snake skin, climbed in piles of gravel, and noticed every caterpillar, centipede, and spider.
Aubree got to join us because I "opted her out" of the new common core state testing (6 days of 4 hour per day testing??!? Really?).

Saturday, Aubree had an Activity Days Father/Daughter hike. To make the hike more interesting, they completed a photo scavenger hunt.
They had to capture things like sword fighting,
tree climbing,
and fungus licking.
Fun idea! Aubree and Mark both had a great time.
