April's installment of "preschool field trip of the month" took us to the guaranteed-to-be-a-hit-with-the-kids Snoqualmie Train Museum. We invited extra friends to join us, and ended up having a big, fun group. At our first tour station we listened to a couple train stories.
Next, we went outside to hunt for a picture scavenger hunt (the kids had to find a bunch of different items in the train yard).
I tried a few times to get the whole group to come over for a picture, but we were all too spread out at that point.
Our third station brought us inside a long, empty train car with some toys and puzzles.
I should mention that the weather was extremely warm, nearly 90 degrees, which is just about as hot as it ever gets in the Seattle area. We didn't last long in the stuffy, claustrophobia inducing train car.

Our last station was arts and crafts - always a winner with the preschool set.
Aubree's school class was in the middle of three days of testing (of which I'd opted her out), so she got to come along with us. Hurray!
Finally, we reached the climax of our adventure, the train ride! Aubree borrowed my camera and captured a little of the excitement...
It wasn't a long ride, just 35 minutes, but it took us to the top of Snoqualmie Falls where we stopped for a couple minutes to take in the gorgeous scenery.
So much fun!
