It's been a warm summer. That may seem like an obvious and redundant statement, but I hear that the summer before we moved here it was only warm for 2 weeks, so we take what we can get.
We've had a number of opportunities to play in the water.
There's been the once-a-week swimming lessons, of course.
And trips to various local water splash pads and wading pools (though this particular trip was quite chilly, the kids still insisted on getting in the water).
The favorite water play day was probably the morning we played in a friend's backyard.
