The Essence of Childhood

Almost every weekday afternoon this September, we've congregated at a local park with a passel of friends and neighbors.
In addition to typical park features like a playground and green space to run, this park also has a miniature woods where the kids make hide-outs, pick wild blackberries, separate into boy vs. girl "teams" to chase each other around, and generally run free.
It's been so great for the kids.  It will be a sad day when the weather turns and our afternoon adventures come to an inevitable end.
Until next summer, of course.
