Early in July we went up to Pennsylvania for a Winters Sibling Reunion. It was the first time all of Mark's siblings had been together in 4 1/2 years (I plan to blog more about the trip soon...).
Winters siblings in age order: Eric, Karen, Mark, Kevin, & Amy
While visiting, we decided it would be a great time to bless Thane since so many family members would be able to participate and we were attending Mark's "home" ward. The Sunday we blessed Thane was the 4th of July and he looked super cute in red, white, and blue. But, you'll just have to take my word on that, because I neglected to get a picture of him on his special day. (Bad Mom!) In my defense, I was a little frazzled. I was worried that Thane might cry during the blessing (and the boy has a tremendous lung capacity) and I prayed that he would be calm. Heavenly Father answered my prayers (and Aubree's); Thane was awake and quiet through the entire blessing! Hurray!! However, as soon as Mark handed him back to me he started screaming and continued to do so for the following hour! Thankfully, Mark reminded me that I'd wanted to get a picture of all the family who attended the blessing, otherwise I'm sure I would have forgotten that too.
Welcome to our blog! We try to post on a regular basis but sometimes get behind. Please be aware that the primary purpose of this blog is to serve as a journal for our little ones (so we're aware that sometimes it's boring). The secondary purpose is to keep family and friends up-to-date with what's going on here in our corner of the world. We love your comments! Thanks for visiting.

I'm glad that the blessing went well. Personally, I alternate between relatively calm and quite frazzled on a daily basis!
