After we got home from church this afternoon, Aubree and Bryce ran to play while I started to get lunch ready. Soon I could hear muffled voices and thought something wasn't quite right. I called out and Aubree answered, "We're in Bryce's room. We don't want you to come in. We locked the door! *laugh, laugh*" Annoyed, I reminded Aubree she's not allowed to lock doors and asked her to unlock it. "Okay," she responded. Then, "I caaaaaaannnnnn't, it won't unlock." I took a deep breath. "Sure," I thought to myself, "my two kids are locked in the bedroom, but no big deal. Aubree is 3 1/2 and very capable, unlocking a door is not a difficult task. This will just me a minor inconvenience."
Fifteen minutes later the door still looked like this:Then, our hero arrived home after finishing post-church Bishopric meetings and duties. After a few minutes of this:

Chuckle, chuckle. The joys of toddlers. You handled it will. Love YOU.
Thanks for the laugh!!! I'm still laughing!
Murphy's Law at it's finest!!! But I'll bet it made daddy's day to be the hero.
Ahh...kids. At least it was not in the bathroom with your curling iron on and the cord hanging down just asking to be pulled. Oh, wait... that was me. We finally used a chop stick to get ours to pop open. Glad to see it happens to other people too!
Oh, that so happened to me. It was Ella who locked the door when she was almost 2. It took a looooong time! I was debating between calling my landlord who lives an hour away, the police, Larry, or breaking down the door. I'm not laughing at your story because I know how scary that can be for child and Mom!
