Defy

This post is not nearly as inflammatory as the title may suggest.
Last fall, we decided to buy homeschool passes to Defy - a semi-nearby trampoline park (formerly, and still occasionally known as Flying Circus). The homeschool passes allow unlimited access Mondays-Fridays from 10am-3pm. A bunch of our homeschool friends also bought passes, which definitely added to the allure.

Mostly, we ended up going on Friday afternoons because of HuCo and other commitments Monday-Thursday.
The kids loved going, jumping, and seeing their friends.
I always felt just a little nervous, because I'm well aware of the inherent risks of jumping on trampolines. I figured time would tell whether the passes meant I was a really fun mom, or a really dumb one. When the Coronavirus shutdowns came, we obviously couldn't visit Defy anymore, so I'd say the overall lack of broken bones means, "fun mom."
By February, Bryce commented, "When we first came here, it seemed huge, like we could never explore it all, but every time we come, it seems a little smaller." Ha! He was always still happy to go if it meant he got to see Jordan, though.
I don't know that I'd get passes again anytime soon (mostly because it's a bit of a long drive), but we had a lot of fun.
