On Christmas Day in the morning

Christmas's just keep getting more fun! Right now Aubree and Bryce are both at ages where they're super easy to please and it's hard (very hard) to not go overboard with gifts. As a result, both were duly spoiled at Christmas.
How Santa left the family room looking on Christmas Eve
Aubree slept surprisingly well on Christmas Eve, but definitely woke up brimming with excitement. This was the first year I think she really understood that she'd get to open all the presents once Christmas morning came. Bryce could tell Aubree was excited, but I don't think he could anticipate what was coming.

Here's a not-so-great video of the kids seeing their gifts:

As you perhaps can tell from the video, Santa brought Aubree a cradle for her dolls and a boy doll (something for which she'd specifically asked). He brought Bryce a new trike. Bryce spent most of the day pushing his trike around the house until we decided, for the sake of the walls, it needed to go to it's rightful home in the garage.
In past years is taken us HOURS (even days) to get through present opening because Aubree would lose interest quickly. Not so this year! She sorted through the presents to find the one's with her name and had trouble waiting for others to take their turns. This was especially difficult because Bryce IS in the "I'll open one present, then maybe another in an hour" stage. Aubree solved this problem by "helping" Bryce open his gifts.
There were lots of favorite gifts. I knew the books (thanks Grandma & Grandpa Winters!) would be a big hit and the expression on the kids' faces in these pictures tell it all...
Aubree also got a tent (from my visiting teacher!) and a sleeping bag (thanks Grandma & Grandpa Graff!) that were big hits.
Bryce's favorite gifts were probably his Thomas trains. Granted, he's never actually seen the Thomas TV show (the boy will not watch TV), but he adores trains. After a fun-filled (and probably overwhelming) morning, Bryce disappeared. This is how we found him:
One of the favorite gifts I gave Aubree will come to no surprise to those who know me well:
We spent a bit of time batting that afternoon and I was surprised at how quickly she figured out how to hit the ball! Oh- the fun times we have ahead of us!!!

Where in the world did you find a pink glove, ball and bat? Reminds me of Wa's pink gun! Are you going to teach Aubree to pitch? Love the post.
