Per Grandma's Request

Here is a short video of Aubree riding her bike around our cul-de-sac. For some annoying reason the video turned out quite fuzzy, but I assure you that it is Aubree riding. You might notice her new helmet and knee and elbow pads. Thankfully she loves to wear them. She still begs to ride all the time and has even given up wearing dresses every day because she'd rather ride.

In other news, Bryce had his 9-month check-up on Monday. He weighs in at 20 lbs. 2 oz (75th percentile) and is 30 inches long (95th percentile). By way of comparison, Aubree didn't hit 20 lbs. until she was 18 months old. Out in public people are often surprised when I tell them he's 9 months old. They comment that because of his size and all his hair he looks much older.
Overall, Bryce is very healthy, but it ended up as a very different type of doctor's visit than I am used to because I found myself saying "no" to a lot of questions.
"Is he crawling?"
- "Just starting to."
"Is he pulling himself up?'
- "No."
"Is he cruising around furniture?"
-"No."
"Does he wave?"
- "No"
"Is he clapping?"
-"No"
Aubree was ahead on most of these milestones. The doctor is not concerned about Bryce and I'm not really either. He is very alert, is always moving, is interactive, and jabbers all the time. He is making progress, it's just at his own pace. I think he's helping me learn patience.

Lots to say here. FIRST: you look so good in those family pictures, you've lost weight or something with all that running!!! You are a BABE! SECOND: Corinne didn't crawl until she was ELEVEN months old. NOR did she walk until she was SIXTEEN months old, so I'm just happy to hear that you have a more "normal" child this time...heeehee. THIRD: Shane isn't even 6 months old and he is over 18 pounds. What is it with these fast growing boys? Anyway, thanks for the cute update!
